Both blower / vacuum units are great brands, but it becomes very clear upon handling the units that the build quality of the Troy-bilt compared to the Black & Decker is stronger.

Customer reviews were exceedingly happy with the Troy-bilt, but there were simply more online reviews for the Black & Decker, which indicates that sales were stronger.

The reason for that may be the huge pricing difference. The Black & Decker Leaf Hog is nearly half the cost of the Troy-bilt and includes comparable accessories and features. Both units have a strong 2 year warranty which makes the biggest consideration simple... PRICE.
