What research says

While both the George Forman and the GT Xpress 101 get the job done when it comes to indoor meat grilling, the as seen on TV Gt Xpress's versatility separates it from the Foreman in a couple areas.

First of all, the GT Xpress is made to cook just about everything from breakfast to dessert while the George Foreman is specified for grilling and the occasional bun warming.

Second, the Gt Express 101 has an internal thermostat to keep your food from burning even if you forget about it, while the George Foreman's single temperature continuous cooking cycle will cook, cook, cook until its unplugged. The George Foremans slanted design allows for the fat to drip off, but greatly jeopardizes the eveness of what is being cooked causing a need for constant attention to the food if you dont want it uncooked on one half and burnt on the other. You can also cook separate items in the Xpress without having to worry about flavor mixing due to its dual cooking wells. Both work as a hot sandwich maker, but the George Foreman Grill tends to flatten your sandwich with its heavy lid. Both are made to fit on your tabletop and can cook anywhere there is an outlet.

I had a GT Express and loved it. I think it's at the ex wife's house, but this review has reminded me to go get my damn grill back. Thanks!

Re: GT Express: Would like to see "other" grilling surfaces. And, can you wash grilling surfaces in dishwasher?

RE: Walt Ayre said:

Walt I too would like to see other grilling surfaces. I emailed the folks at GT Xpress and they said soon they would be launching a new version with removable / exchangeable grilling surfaces. The classic GT Xpress will always be available, of course, but this new one sounds really nice. Can't wait to see it.

Dear Kathy'...I LOVE MY GTXPRESS 101.....I just ordered the new REDI-SET-GO COOKER. I can't wait to get it...
My husband and I are eating much healthier. I'm not spending as much time preparing our meals even though I love to cook...I did have the GF/Grill and I sold it at my yard sale..But.......I'll tell you this I WILL never ever buy another one and I will always be a faithful buyer of the GT-Xpress..I definitedly recommend this product. I can't say enough..its affordable..easy to use..food is very moist..what-ever you cook. Fast clean-up..Maybe you'll have different colors..Thanks Again

I love the 2 and the 4 compartment GTXPRESSES, But have problems with the teflon coatings coming off...then things begin to stick. Are they trying to improve this coating?
