What research says

In Weider Advantage VS Bowflex Blaze Home Gyms, we find two very similar products with one huge difference; price. The Weider Advantage is currently $400 less than its direct competitor the Bowflex Blaze. On the other hand, monthly payments are $10 cheaper for the Bowflex if you need to finance a home gym set.

Boflex quality and history is well known, and they offer more products with more attachments and more services than and Weider. The construction on both machines is good but design and more importantly usability credit goes to the more experienced manufacturer; Boflex. The online reviews we've found show a high satisfaction with the company and its support. Warranty info for Bowflex is clear and easy to find, Weider's product warranty info was a bit more difficult to locate. Before you choose to purchase your home gym consider the total cost which is the price of the unit, expensive shipping and taxes. These units collapse for storage so also consider the amount of space you'll need.

If you have more to spend and want more exercises, here is a good review of the Bowflex Ultimate series home gym: http://www.firstpagefitness.com/fitness/bowflex-ultimate2.html

I had a boflex a long time ago and remember it lasted what seemed like forever. I purchased a weider home gym (not the Advantage, but the Pro 3750 series) about a year ago and it's already falling apart. I don't know if it is just my experience or if it bad quality manufacturing, but I'd go with the Boflex if I were you.

Actually Mike, it's spelled BoWflex with a W.
