What research says The InStep Sierra Double Bicycle Trailer serves both as a bike trailer and a stroller. It has 16 inch pneumatic tires with molded rims, converts easily to a stroller with a padded push bar and swivel wheel, and the frame folds up easily for storage with the help of its quick release wheels. It comes with a bug screen, rain shield, parking brake and a universal coupler that allows it to connect to nearly any bicycle. The InStep is easily assembled (not like another in our review!) and weighs about 38 pounds.
Also a stroller/trailer is the Aosom Elite 2in1 Double. It features a full suspension system, a hand brake system, quickly converts to a stroller without needing tools, and weighs about 38 pounds. It has 20 inch versus 16 inch wheels and can carry up to two children totalling 100 pounds. The Elite also comes with a bike/hitch coupler, a 2in1 weather canopy, and a rear storage area. Last on our review is the Schwinn Express bike trailer. It features the quick-to-connect bike attachment, but you may want to buy an extra if you plan on switching bikes often. It folds nicely for storage and comes with quick release wheels to make this happen. It is the lightest of all three reviews at 26 pounds and is also noted for its easy assembly. Behind the seat storage area, weather shield and 16 inch wheels with alloy rims pretty much round out this review. At first glance the Aosom looked like the clear winner of this review; It had a lot of nice features and was the cheapest of all three bike trailers. So before I gave it my stamp of approval I did some more research and quickly found out why it was the "cheapest" bike trailer. It is the cheapest because it is not built well, has some design issues, cheap tires and you have a be a rocket scientiest to assemble it. The new winner of this review is the InStep Sierra, it beat out the Schwinn mostly because it is more versatile for the money. You can use it as a bike trailer or stroller while the Schwinn only has one option.
