What research says

Starting this review is the Kawasaki 233-piece kit. There are lots and lots of pieces in this box. More than that is the 245-piece Northern Industrial tool. Initial impressions are not of the value the companies give with all these attachments, but the overwhelming amount. For project tinkerers, and occasional users, the Kawasaki and the Northern Industrial are fine; You may need one of the numerous attachments that are included.

For those familiar with what a Rotary tool is, and what it can do in the right hands there is a clear choice in the Dremel. This is a rotary made by and for people who use them. Starting with design notes, this tool is comfortable to hold for hours, if need be, all day. It might seem like a small detail but if youre seriously using this tool, then you’ll be pleased. Another note is that the Dremel’s motor speed gets down to 5,000 rpm. That means more control. One advantage to not including hundreds of attachments in the box is that more is invested in the tool itself. For instance, if you want to work on this tool, you can because the Dremel has replaceable motor brushes. Rounding out the mix is Dremel’s warranty, a nice long 4-year.

Things to consider would of course be your intended use of the tool, and how often you will use this tool. The person who spends a lot of time using this, will appreiciate the thought and quality that went into the design and build of the Dremel. If you’re a jack of all trades the Northern Industrial Rotary tool is worth a look for the price and attachments.
