What research says MyFax is one of the most popular online fax services and was previously known as Virtual Fax. The company appears to provide the most flexible service for the money and they are reliable. Their spam filter will keep junk faxes out and testimony states that most companies haven't received a single junk fax since switching over from a land-line based format. Overall this service wins our editors pick but if you're looking to do slightly more volume, we think the next brand comparison is worth a read.
Metro Fax provides many of the same features that other online services provide but at a different price point which translates into a slightly higher volume capability. The difference results in a small activation fee and $2/more per month (or $4 for a toll free service) that equals the ability to send up to 1,000 pages per month. This service is really geared more towards the self-employed or small office business owner that might have unexpected volumes at different times throughout the year. It's still a great service with a price that's very close to others in the market. Save On Faxes is really ideal for a home office setting that isn't concerned with storage or retrieving lost documents. The service works with limited document types (SaveOnFaxes doesn't list multiple files types) and you'll have to be willing to front a larger activation fee, but it ends up costing less per month that other services. The company's website is limited and although they do offer 24/7 support there isn't much listed in the way of the flexibility once you've signed up.
Philbert said:I use Metro Fax and have always been happy with the service. I actually have the toll-free option. The only thing that sucks is not having the web interface like you say MyFax has. That would be good to have, but sending by email is pretty much standard anyway. Great review, thanks! Other Resources and Reviews |
