You can't expect to get gym-quality equipment for this price range, but they are what they are and for the price both units are a good buy.

We like the Schwinn primarily because of the better warranty. When you're dealing with entry-level equipment, warranties become all the more important.

We like the NordicTrack because it carries 75 pounds more weight than the Schwinn, which tells us it is generally a more sturdy machine.

In the end, we went with the Schwinn as the best entry-level, brand-name eliptical machine because - all things considered - it received pretty good reviews online.
