What research says

As it is already their least expensive treadmill on the market, if Proform could just get their 755 CrossTrainer down into the Under $1,000 category they would dominate. But, although it is slightly less expensive, this model falls just shy of the Spirit XT175 competitor.

The Spirit has a longer warranty (lifetime on the frame and motor), a larger engine (2.5 vs 2.25) and a few other interesting features that make it a great buy for the money.

Do your price homework on these models before buying. If you can grab the Proform CrossTrainer 755 for under $1,000 go for it. This is a very strong treadmill for that price range.

I have the Proform 755 CrossTrainer and am very happy with it. If you're looking for something as nice as what your big mega gym has, neither of these treadmills are going to cut it. But if you want something to get you going at home in the mornings, both will probably do the trick. Good luck and stay healthy!

I didn't like the Spirit. Maybe I'm spoiled from the nice treadmills at the gym, but it just feels cheap compared to them. I use it all the time and it works, but it just doesn't have that SOLID feel to it. But I guess for the price I can't complain. If it ever breaks down I can always just call in the lifetime warranty so...
