What research says

One liquid eggwhite company sells tubs by weight, and the other by liquid volume. Since we do not know how much X-amount eggs weigh, we went by the "amount" figure above, which shows the approximate amount of liquid eggwhites contained in each tub. Eggwhites Int. has three more eggwhites if we are to take the figures as being 100% accurate, although they are said by both companies to be approximate. After all, no two eggs are the same.

At first glance, Lana's egg whites look cheaper, but when you factor in that shipping can be 2-3 times more expensive you see that the two companies are much closer in terms of price - even after you pay for a pump from Egg Whites International. In the long run - since you only need to purchase a pump once - Eggwhties International comes out slightly cheaper.

Eggwhites Int. got the editor's pick on this one because I have used their product and can personally vouch for it. Although Phil Heath is one of my favorite bodybuilders (Colorado Proud!) and Jay is... well, he's Mr. Olympia - I haven't tried Lana's egg whites and can not say one way or the other. Perhaps some readers would like to share?

I actually use the egg whites from Egg Whites International and the example you are using for the 2 half gallons is the most expensive example. I go through about 4 gallons a month, and when I buy it in a 4-gallon case my average price per gallon including shipping is only $33 a gallon. Compared to Lana's at $46 a gallon. So in my opinion, Egg Whites International is by far a better value. AND I used to use Lana's egg whites and in the big tub that they come in, they cook up very watery and you can't drink them. What I like about Egg Whites International is even though they make a very fluffy omelette, I never actually cook them. Because they are so quick and easy as a drink and you can't taste them.

I first read about Egg Whites Int. in my wifes Oxygen Magazine. What got my attention is that it said you could take a cup of their Egg Whites and just mix in chocolate syrup and make chocolate milk for kids that don't get enought protein. Well that was just what we had been looking for, so we ordered the 2 half gallons for $40.00 just to see if, in fact, it really worked for our kids. BINGO! Now we only order it by the 4 gallon case. It's about $132.00 for 4 gallons. We also got the pump. It's a mess trying to pour it out of the gallons if you don't have a pump. When we looked up Lana's, it was over $200.00 for the same amount for her 4 tubs to ship to New York. So, we have never tried Lana's because of the price.

Another thing that I really like about Egg Whites International is their ease of use... I mean with Lana's you need to open a huge lid and then scoop out your eggwhites but with EWI all you have to do is press on the pump and you get a perfect measurement. Also, to ditto Jennifer... I always get the 4 gallon case and that makes it way more economical than Lana's too!

One thing that pisses me off about Egg Whites International though is the fact that you have to pay extra for the pump to get the eggwhites out of the tubb. If I'm spending $100 on a big case of their liquid egg whites, they should give me that cheap little peace of plastic for free! The pump is great and works perfectly, but seriously I don't think consumers should have to pay the extra $10.

Thank's for the help on this page. Quick question though. I'm trying to find a egg protein that is quick and easy to use for all my needs. I am in college, and with my busy lifestyle, finding time to prepare my food can be difficult. I know that all the previous viewers suggested EWI, but I was wondering if there is any other feedback. Thanks

Mike, you can't get much easier to prepare than egg whites. Most of the time I just drink mine with some milk and protein powder. I would also suggest checking out the GT Xpress (http://www.comparethebrands.com/compare/43). I think it's perfect for college students.

2 concerns: 1:do egg whites give anyone indigestion? I feel like they are somewhat hard to digest, but not sure.

2: eating raw egg whites is known to leech Biotin (the skin hair beauty vitamin!) from the body. Can taking Biotin supplements mitigate this effect, or do the egg whites just 'eat' it all up? I need all the Biotin I can get: it made my hair & skin so beautiful, I take it everyday. thanks for any input

I have not tried Egg White's Intl as of yet, and probably won't because I live on the west coast where Lana's Egg Whites is located. They are in all the Max Muscle stores I have been to. I pay $30.00 for the bucket. They don't cook watery at all. You have to stir the whites after thawing. I have also drank them straight. There is nothing that will hurt you here. haha. I much rather cook them or mix them in a protein shake though. I have a tupperware pitcher (like I might make orange juice in) that has a lid and I simply pour the egg whites in there. No more bulky container/store in refrigerator very wasy, and no more opening the lid each time. If that was hard, maybe that person needs more protein than the rest of us. lol
