What research says

All detox supplements are designed to do the same thing - assist your liver, kidneys and digestive system in removing toxins and other substances that you don't want to have (or have found) in your urine or blood. The four main things you need in order to achieve this are 1: Plenty of water, 2: Plenty of fiber, 3: Cranberry extract, and 4: Milk thistle. Water and fiber help cleans your digestive system; Cranberry extract helps filter metabolites like urea through your kidneys and milk thistle helps your liver filter out impurities. Add to this some sort of natural diuretic (like Dandelion root) and you've got the makings of a good detox supplement.

All three of the detox products above have all of the above requirements from the same sources: Milk thistle seed, cranberry extract and dandelion root. The main differences then are the amount of these ingredients, other ingredients and price.

Some other ingredients you might want to look for in a detox supplement are Antioxidants and Probiotics. Common Antioxidants: lycopene, lutein, lignan, glutathione, vitamin C, vitamin E, selenium and flavonoids and polyphenols found in wine, blueberries, and certain teas.

Hydroxycut 7-Day Cleanse is a top-selling detox product from a well-known supplement brand. It is not designed to be used often or for long periods of time, as there is an astounding list of ingredients in this product - some of them fairly exotic. The Hydroxycut Seven Day Cleanse is about twice the price of the budget option in this review, the Daily Detox capsules. However, you have to take the Daily Detox pills twice as long - thus making your detox cycle equally expensive either way. NOW Easy Cleanse is a few dollars less than Hydroxycut, but with a significantly truncated list of ingredients in comparison.

The Summary:
If you're in a hurry and need a last-minute detox, Hydroxycut is the way to go. Just don't take this supplement to often or for longer than one week straight without consulting your doctor.

If you detox regularly or on an ongoing basis, Daily Detox will do the trick without breaking the bank - something that would be very important if you're regularly detoxing.

Online reviews for NOW Easy Cleanse were a mixed bag with some people saying it worked and some people saying it didn't. With the same primary ingredients, it should work just as well as the other two. With the lack of regulation of the supplement industry, a brand you can trust is just as important as what is on the label of ingredients.

Faye S. said:

Your list of ingredients of the NOW Easy Cleanse is incomplete. You listed only the AM bottle. The PM bottle contains: Burdock root, Sheep Sorrel leaf, Slippery Elm bark, Turkey Rhubarb root, Apple Pectin, Glucomannan, Gum Acacia, Cascara Sagrada bark, Aloe Vera concentrate, and Fennel seed.
