What research says In this comparison we review yoga shoes from three different companies for under $100. Each brand is affordable, reputable and worth considering, but we found that one clearly stood out above the others...
The J-41 Yoga Slide is our Editor's Pick for several reasons. First of all - aesthetically, it walks all over the competiton. Pun intended. The memory foam insoles make them super comfortable, and they're also planet and animal friendly due to the use of recycled rubber and vegan materials. Best of all, they work just as well as walking / shopping shoes as they do for yoga. The Stella McCartney Thala shoes by Adidas have a removable to grip so you can use them for yoga or change around for use in ballet or dance. They are comfortable and durable, but - subjectively speaking - kind of ugly. But then again, to each her own. These are decent yoga shoes if you don't mind paying $30-$40 more than the other two we've reviewed here. Capezio's yoga shoes remind me more of ballet slippers with a grippier heel than a real yoga shoe, but combining the two materials to provide support in the toe and heel areas and flexibility in the middle was a genius move. We're not big fans of the look, but really like the concept. And the price can't be beat.
Uki said:I think my mom would like the Thalas or the Capezios but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them. They look like leftover shoes from a big-footed ballerina. The J41 Yoga Slides are stylish. They look like you could do yoga and then go climb a mountain without ever having to change shoes. Arun said:Real yoga followers don not wear footwear. All the yoga masters do it bare feet.
