What research says

My wife is the one who takes care of the cats so I asked her to do the experiment for this review, which compares Tidy Cats with Fresh Step cat litters. Here is what she had to say...

I put out two litter boxes: One with Fresh Step Lavender Fresh Expressions; the other with my usual Tidy Cats Scoop Immediate Odor Control Formula. I had them out for about a month each and cleaned them once a week.

Each time I clean the Fresh Step I could smell the lavender as I scooped. It clumped really well. And the cats seemed to like it more - they chose to use that box 3 to 1. They probably like the smell f lavender when they are pawing around in there, and smells less like the other cat (for multiple cat households).

Both are about equal when it comes to dust when pouring the litter in the box. My main concern is smell and clumping power. I once bought Tidy Cats regular clay - not realizing it didn't clump - that's probably why the huge bag was so cheap - it sucked. I definitely need something that clumps so I would never buy that again, although I do think the Immediate Odor Controll Forumula version of Tody Cats clumps well.

Overall when I compare Tody Cats VS Fresh Expressions I, like my cats, am inclined to choose Fresh Expressions. It is slightly more expensive, however, so that might factor into your decision.

I could not find the ingredients in Fresh step. Could you please state what is in this. In particular, is
sodium bentonite one of the ingredients? I'm very concerned about the side effects of this. My e-mail is
