What research says All of these units have great features and are in similar price points, but there are some stand-outs here and while the brands are all well-known there is one dishwashing unit that stands above the rest.
Looking at the GE dishwasher we find the expected quality and craftsmanship and we also find that the GE dishwasher is the lowest entry in this comparison in terms of pricing coming in $150.00 less than the 24" LG. The GE unit also fits in well with a stainless steel decor, for a neat and clean installation. The LG LDS5811ST built-in dishwasher is at the top end of the price range and has many features found as standard all of the dishwashers we've compared here. The LG's design is extra-contemporary with an all-silver finish unlike the GE and Kitchen-Aid which have black accents. The build quality of the LG is above average and has the fit and finish of quality. Finally the 24" Kitchen-Aid which shares the appearance of the GE with it's stainless steel front and black accents. The Kitchen-Aid stands out for several reasons. The build quality is good and fit and finish are well done also. One great feature is the Kitchen-Aid's built-in four-blade food disposal which keeps food and particles from re-attaching to clean dishes. Another great feature for longevity is stainless steel wash arms as opposed to plastic or acrylic. In consideration for purchasing there are a few factors: If you must have an all stainless look then your options are limited to only the LG unit. If price is your primary consideration then the GE with it's $599.00 price point is your choice. However the smartest choice seems to be the middle-grounded Kitchen-Aid with extra features, a clean design, and $50.00 between the top and bottom price points.
