What research says

The research here is garnered from online user reviews, actual usage and owner surveys. While both of these microwaves fall in the category of full-size microwave there are a few key differences in the feature sets of each. To begin both of these units offer the standards, such as automatic rotating turntables, sensor cooking, 1 year warranty, a child lock feature and inversion defrosting.

GE - 2.2 Cu. Ft. Full-Size Microwave - Stainless-Steel
The GE has a stainless steel finish to compliment stainless contemporary matching. This unit also has a function called
Time Cook, which allows you set multiple start and stop times so that a dish can be stirred or so that additional ingredients can be added.

Panasonic - 2.2 Cu. Ft. Full-Size Microwave - Stainless-Steel
The Panasonic full-size microwave which is offered at the same price point has more features and functionality. This unit offers 50 more watts and 18 different sensor setting far more than GE. Panasonic pushes further by offering a multi-lingual display and a truly handy "more or less" control allows for the easy addition or subtraction of time without stopping to re-program the cooking cycle.

Considerations: Since both of these units fall in the same price points, appearance and feature take the focus. In this comparison the Panasonic offers more functions than it competitor the GE. Both units have the same cubic space and stainless steel frontal fascia.
